My Christmas Party Wishlist
So if Xmas 2011 in Jamaica, is anything like 2010 then my need for 8 Hot Parties during my 4 weeks trip should be guaranteed:
Politrics, When will it end?
Well as we approach the end of 2011, we can all agree that nothing really changed in the world of politics. As a matter of fact things got worst! The World's politicians are still the biggest drug and gun smugglers! They have no regards for human life. One Yogi described it best "those in power are just DONKEYS". However, most of society are the ones getting ridden. WHY? Well,we choose to sit and watch idly as they ruin our livelihood. They strip away our civil liberties under the guise of freedom or peace and we say nothing. They sell our land and people to the highest bidder as if it/we were theirs to own. They say one thing then do the next and we take it and forget that we are the majority, we are the ones with the power to overthrow each and every government. HOW? Live your life for you in truth and the lies will be revealed. If each and everyone becomes aware and desire change then and only then will CHANGE occur.
The website, www.live2partyja.com, aforementioned in the remainder of this text as live2party, was launched in the summer of 2010. The creators of live2party intend to introduce a social network for Jamaicans all over the world that enjoys an active night life. This site welcomes visitors from all over the globe who are interested in the rich entertainment culture found exclusively in Jamaica.
Indigenous Jamaican music such as Reggae and Dancehall will play an enormous role in the contents that the website will feature. Thus it is our hope to partner with every serious player in that industry namely entertainers, producers, promoters, dancers, models and designers. These players will now have a platform to discuss their craft as a group rather than individuals. This will allow our potential market the opportunity to find all things associated with the party lifestyle that the country has to offer.
Reggae and Dancehall music originated in the island but has traveled all over the world even to places that are unheard of as the music transcends all barriers. With that said, it is unfortunate that record sales fail to soar for many artist and 2010 was a particularly harsh year for record sales. As a music lover it became obvious that information about many recording artist and their craft are simply not getting to the masses and with the industry churning out so many new artist over the last five years it is particularly hard for an individual outside of the island to keep up. Thus live2party was created to correct such an issue. We will be featuring the following contents on our website:
Party Reviews- this page will allow partygoers to give their opinion of stage shows and other events that the live2party crew attended thus non-attendees will have the opportunity to live vicariously
Pictorial- Random pictures of past and present events that live2party attended with brief commentaries
Upcoming events- a calendar highlighting the shows that live2party will attend next
Live Chats- every month a participating artist will get the opportunity to run a video chat that would allow viewers to interact with them live, other chats would also be available to subscribers on a day to day basis
Blogs- serious issues affecting the lives of Jamaican and the worldwide society
We will edit content based on what our viewers show the greatest interest in.
